Proximity of the house

The house is situated on the northern edge of the fog-free village Winterberg at an unobstructable location at 575m ASL. In the west, north and east and half to the south, the building is adjacent to agricultural land. The views from the house extends in the south to the Glarus Alps, to the east across the fields to the edge of a forest, to the north of the city of Winterthur and beyond and to the west over the gently undulating landscape of the golf course Winterberg.

Winterberg, the village

Winterberg lies between Zurich and Winterthur, is part of the Lindau council and has slightly more than 900 inhabitants.

The village has a shop, two restaurants, a nursery, kindergarden and a primary school. The council's secondary school is in Grafstal, which can be easily reached by foot, bicycle or bus. Furthermore, Grafstal has a very family friendly public swimming-pool, tennis-cours and a football playing field.

The golf course of Winterberg as well as a riding stable are accessible by foot. The surroundings are perfect for hiking, jogging or biking.

Public transport connections
ZVV runs a bus to the train stations of Kemptthal and Effretikon, from where there are many suburban trains. The bus stop "Winterberg, Dorf" can be reached by foot in 3 minutes.
